Valentine SWAP with Love Letters

Today's share is a card I designed for my monthly Long Distance Swappers Valentine SWAP.  The Love Letters DSP, and therefore also the color scheme, is the same as that used in the calendars I posted recently.  The Love Letters paper is just beautiful, and although it works perfectly for a Valentine themed card, the designs are quite elegant and versatile.

 Items used on this card:
Stamp Sets:  Punch Potpouri, Occasional Quotes
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Riding Hood Red, Basic Black, Watercolor paper, Love Letters DSP
Ink:  Black StazOn, Riding Hood Red, Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake
Other:  Scallop Trim Border Punch, Full Heart Punch, Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit, Basic Pearls, Aquapainter, Dimensionals

I hope you like the card I've shared today and visit again soon!

In-Colors Card

Hello again.  Today I thought I would share a card I created recently for a SWAP group I belong to called the Long Distance Swappers.  We do one SWAP each month and generally have a theme for each month.  This theme required use of the current In-Colors.  Techniques used on this card include paper piecing, coloring with markers, and direct to paper enhancement of embossed images.

Items used on this card include:
Stamp set(s):  Chic Boutique
Paper:  Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Very Vanilla, In-Color DSP Pack
Ink:  Stazon Black, Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz and Blushing Bride Markers
Accessories:  Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper Impressions folder, In-Color Ribbons in Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Concord Crush

I'd love to hear your comments if you care to share.

Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!

Hello & Happy New Year!

Hello and Happy New Year to all!  Welcome to my HoneyB Designs blog.  For those who do not know me, my name is Becky Pressgrove.  I live with my husband, son and two adorable dogs in the Twin Cities, MN, and as a natural born and raised Texan, I have to say that winters here can be a bit rough.

I have created this blog to share my love of crafting and creative projects with others.  I am a Stampin' UP! demo, and the majority of the projects I share here will be stamping/papercrafting related, but I also enjoy sewing, crochet, jewelry-making, home decor - just about anything crafty - and will share other worthy projects and tidbits as well.

Since it is a brand new year, I thought that our December stamp club calendar project would be perfect for sharing today.

For these calendars - I CASED the layout/design  from Kim Warne's coaster calendar HERE and used Angie Juda's design which utilizes two coasters, jumbo grommets and ribbon to make the calendar free-standing HERE.  Following are the supplies used:
  • Love Letters DSP
  • Basic Black and Riding Hood Red cardstock
  • Basic Black wide striped grosgrain ribbon, Basic Black satin ribbon, Basic Black 1/4 in. grosgrain ribbon, Victoria lace ribbon, Linen Thread
  • Antique Brads
  • Jumbo Grommets
  • Scallop Circle punches
  • Rectangular coasters and calendars obtained thru a bulk buy group
I will also be working on setting up a blog store where I will have finished products, project kits and tutorials as well as retired SU! product available for sale, so watch for that coming soon.

Thanks for stopping by and here's to a happy and prosperous New Year to all!

I hope you will visit again.
